Time to Put Pressure on Elected Officials!
Every week, we need to be writing and calling our elected officials to let them know how we feel and that we are paying attention.
Here’s a list of suggestions for the week of Feb. 17. Both addresses and phone numbers are provided so you may both write and call. Emails are too easily ignored.

Please consider holding field hearings in Michigan to allow people who have been harmed by the Trump-Musk administration’s actions to testify about the consequences — farmers who are not receiving promised payments, university researchers whose work has been shut down, and more. We need more publicity about the harm being done and the news media won’t provide it.

It’s time for you to do your job as a member of a coequal branch of government. We need oversight hearings over how Trump’s tariffs will hurt cost jobs and drive up prices. Many of your constituents work in the auto industry which will be directly affected by the latest round of tax increases. Speak up for the people!

You promised to end inflation and actually lower prices starting on Day One. Instead, prices are going up faster than under Joe Biden. You’re making inflation even worse with tariffs on aluminum and steel. Live up to your promise to stop inflation now!

Please speak up forcefully against Trump’s alarming proposal to have the U.S. take over Gaza. Seizing territory and evicting 2 million inhabitants is illegal and immoral, especially when the stated goal is to turn the territory into a seaside playground for the rich. Please shut down this fantasy now.
