Hamilton Running for Howell Township Trustee
An engineering/program manager with the automotive industry is running for a spot on the Howell Township board in the Nov. 5 election.
Curt Hamilton is the only Democrat seeking a spot on the board.
“I am a nine year resident of Howell Township and recently retired from 35+ years in the automotive industry as an engineering/program manager,” he said.
“I am passionate about the environment and live close to the Shiawassee River where there is a nearby pollution site that I am taking a lead in trying to get cleaned up.”
Hamilton grew up in nearby Northfield Township on a small family farm. “I understand the desire of the rural community to keep the feel of a rural community as it is,” he said.
“Howell Township is also in a unique position as having an airport and an outlet mall, so the balance between rural and business growth is a tug-of-war that I understand.
“The priorities of development must always consider the township residents first. Businesses come and go, but family heritage is here to stay!”
Hamilton is the only Democrat running in the Nov. 5 election for a trustee position.
