Cohoctah Educator Running for Seat on Township Board
A Cohoctah Township resident is running for a spot on the township board in the Nov. 5 election.
Mary Ann Stankov is a retired teacher.
“I am running because I believe that when citizens work cooperatively we can successfully solve challenges,” she said.
“My fellow citizens need and deserve leaders who will listen and be empathetic. My 36 years as a proud public school educator helped prepare me for honest, open and ethical leadership.”
Stankov is the only Democrat running for the board. Although voters are allowed to vote for multiple trustee candidates, Stankov’s chances are numerically improved if voters choose only her and leave the other slots blank.
