Call Tom Barrett on Monday!

Constituents of 7th Congressional District Republic Tom Barrett will gather outside his Lansing office Monday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m. to protest the Trump/Musk dismantling of important federal programs.

Meanwhile, a small group of constituents will meet with Barrett’s staff inside the office at 328 W. Ottawa St., Lansing.

Tell him to oppose the House Republican budget blueprint that will cut $880 billion from Medicaid and slash SNAP food assistance by 20 percent.

Or tell him that nobody elected Elon Musk and Musk and his tech bros must be stopped from getting access to our personal, financial, and medical data in the Social Security and IRS files.

Or tell him that Michigan farmers are not receiving the payments promised to them because of a freeze on USDA programs.

Or tell him that cuts to federal medical and scientific research through the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation jeopardize research that help fight cancer, Parkinson’s disease, and more.
